Protected cropping involves growing plants in an enclosed structure so that the conditions can be controlled to optimize the productivity of the crops or plants within. The structures used can be simple or quite elaborate and expensive. Poly tunnels or hot houses are made from steel frame that is covered in plastic film. This is the most economical way to create a controlled environment in which to grow plants. Often referred to as greenhouses, these structures allow farmers to control how and when they grow their crops.
TNN Engineering has been involved in the construction of these hot houses for over a decade. We do not construct of build the structures. We supply the materials and components for farmers and contractors to erect these structures on their farms.
