Using 3D Printing for Rapid Prototyping

We had a customer come to us with a problem that they were trying to solve for their client. This was to do with positioning an item very accurately on an existing piece of equipment.

We suggested we design something up on our CAD systems and then print the item in 3D so we can quickly check that the solution would work.

Here is the 3D printed component we created which features slots & an adjustment holes. This was printed overnight, presented to the client who then verified the solution would work.

Once approval was received, the component was then fabricated out of Aluminium which was laser cut and pressed.

The benefits of 3D printing means we didn’t need to redesign multiple times and were able to verify the solution would work.
