Engineering High Tensile Steels
High tensile steels or Alloy Steels have alloying elements and heat treatment processes that improves strength and durability of the steel. We process high tensile steels for both engineering and fabrication.
Engineering grades we commonly machine include:

Fabrication High Tensile Steels
High strength steels used for fabrication generally have a relatively low carbon content. This is to retain good weldability. The strength of the steel is improved using special heat treatment processes. These materials are also used as wear plates and cutting edges on earthmoving equipment.
Fabrication grades we commonly process include: |
---|
Bisalloy 80, 400,450 |
Hardox |
Durax 1045 |
Reo bar |
