The KAON story started in 2015 with the purchase of a Toyota Prado and the intention of taking the young family out camping and 4x4ing. Ambition and a desire to explore the iconic destinations that Australia had to offer meant adding accessories and gearing up the family four-wheel drive to tackle these adventures.
Having the capability to design, engineer and manufacture parts and accessories allowed Tin, the founder of KAON, to create durable and well thought out solutions to problems that his fellow adventurers were having. The first products were transmission cooler brackets, roof rack accessories and a light cargo barrier. Next was to re-think and re-design functional and sturdy underbody protection that was not just a plate with a few bends and holes.
KAON has also created accessories to pimp up your Weber BBQs. Stainless steel side tables, convection trays and a clever cleaning tool that are proudly Australian invented and made.
