What we need from you?

  • Drawings of the part showing all dimensions, tolerances, holes, openings, angles, thread sizes. The material type, grade and fittings required to make the part. Also if the part needs to be treated in anyway eg. Galvanized or hardened.
  • Quantity, batch sizes and estimated requirements.
  • Lead times
  • Contact Details this includes Name, Company Name, Phone number, address, shipping address and email address.

Where and how do you send your quotes to us?

  • The best way to send us drawings to quote is via email. You can also fax, mail or give it in person.
  • We can also quote from CAD, however we prefer PDFs.
  • We provide duplication or reverse engineering from your sample part.

How does our pricing work?

  • All prices are GST exclusive.
  • All prices do not include shipping costs.
  • We quote on all batch sizes.
  • Special pricing for Urgent parts.
  • We have a $50 minimum charge.

What are our lead times?

  • 2-3 weeks from your order date.
  • We also provide fast turn around services, where we can get your part to you from 1 day to a week.

Where do we deliver/pick-up?

  • We deliver locally, Australia wide or world wide.
  • We can arrange a courier of your choice or you can organise the courier service.
  • Pick-up available

What tolerance can you work to?

  • We can maintain tolerances of 10 microns on most components. ie 0.01 mm
  • Our general tolerance for machining is 0.2 mm

What are the largest parts that you can machine?

  • We can turn components upto 500 mm in diameter
  • Our milling machines can machine parts upto 1000 x 700 x 500 mm

Where is the largest through bore capacity?

  • We can accommodate up to 90 mm through the spindle bore of our lathes.

What materials can you weld?

  • We can weld Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum

Can you weld bronze?

  • Yes, we have a welding machine and consumables that can perform bronze welding.
  • We can weld bronze to bronze or bronze to steel.

3D Printing

What materials can you print?

  • We print mainly in ABS plastic.  The same stuff that Lego is made from.
  • We can also print PLA.  It is not as strong as ABS, but has less shrinkage.

What CAD file format can be used?

  • We can work with STL, IGES, STEP or SAT files.

How long will it take?

  • Most prints can be done overnight.
  • Larger prints can take a few days to process.

How much will it cost?

  • Generally 3D printed parts are about 1/10 of the price of a machined component.

How long will it take to make a prototype?

  • Depending on the complexity, it normally takes 2-3 weeks.

How can I reduce the cost of my prototype?

  • The majority of the cost in a prototype is the programming and setup.  The unit cost of the prototypes can be greatly reduced by increasing the quantity to 2 or more parts.
