• Mild Steels

    Mild steels are a general purpose engineering steels which are economical and easy to work with.  They are typically used for machined parts or shafts and can be case hardened and welds readily. 

  • Stainless Steel

    Stainless steel is used where corrosion resistance is required. We machine and fabricate with most grades of available stainless steel. We regularly machine 304 and 316 grades of stainless steel.  We also machine duplex and hardenable grades of stainless steel such as 2204 and 431.

  • High Tensile Steel

    High tensile steels have alloying elements and heat treatment process that improves strength and durability of the steel. We process high tensile steels for both engineering and fabrication.

  • Aluminium

    Aluminium is a widely used engineering material.  It has many desirable properties. At TNN we can machine and fabricate with aluminium.  We process most grades of aluminium and offer finishing services such as anodizing and powder coating.

  • Plastic

    Engineering plastics have a wide range of applications in Australian industry and are used on water fronts, the food and beverage industry, engineering, farming and mining.


  • Nylon

    Nylon is a versatile engineering plastic and comes in several types to suit particular applications. However, they all share the following properties which make it ideal for a range of applications.

  • Teflon PTFE

    Most people are familiar with the magical non-stick properties of teflon when coated to cookware.  Teflon or PTFE has also been the product of choice or electrical insulation, chemical resistance and low friction for 50 years.

  • Brass

    Brass is often the preferred choice for high volume repetition machining of fittings and small parts. Brass is quick and easy to machine and offers good corrosion resistance without further plating or coating. 

  • Bronze

    Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin.  It is widely used for plain bearings due to its strength and toughness. Plain bearings are ideal for applications where room is limited and speeds are slow. 

  • Copper

    Copper is a ductile metal with very good thermal and electrical conductivity. At TNN we machine copper components for electrical applications.
